Japan to aid Institute of Technology

The agreement was signed by Education

Ministry secretary of state Yuok Ngoy, ITC director general Om Romny and JICA representative Sugano Yuichi on Tuesday.
According to a press release, the agreement includes a project that will help ITC enhance its education and research capabilities by implementing laboratory based education.
Soun Veasna, a JICA programme officer, said the project will allow students to learn practical skills.
“At a laboratory, which is headed by faculty members and composed of post-doctoral students, graduate students, and 4th-year undergraduate students, students can obtain not only expertise and problem-solving abilities, but also soft skills such as management and communication skills by practical education through research,” he said.
