today, Chernobyl was the site of mass death, with years of radiation poisoning infecting entire populations. The channel spends more time there, and gives more context, in a longer video.

There have been various proposals to do something with the site for years, most recently suggestions have been made for a solar farm. The area is still a health risk, though, and there is something to be said about letting land reclaimed by nature stand as both a nature reserve and a reminder of what can happen when our best technology goes wrong.
