SES students learn to use technology's tools

1Consequently, Stockton Elementary School

principal Doug Crawford and district officials have chosen to use federal funds, along with district money, to ensure Crawford's students learn how to manipulate a computer including a full keyboard and mouse, while unlocking the keys to broader knowledge as they understand what computer technology can provide.
Crawford and his teachers feel it is important to have second-, third-and fourth-graders making use of every aspect of a computer so they can be ready for the on-line world, state testing and upper elementary and middle school curriculum which awaits them.
Crawford and several SES teachers explained the need to get to their students at an early grade so they can move away from bad habits which include the hunting-and-pecking style of keyboard use.
